Compare the Songmont Luna Bag and Medium Song Bag on weight, strap range, closure, and capacity to decide which fits your daily routine.
Quick answer
Choose the Luna Bag if you want the lighter carry and a longer strap range for shoulder wear. Choose the Medium Song Bag if you prefer a roomier single compartment with a magnetic closure and protective metal feet.
Weight and strap range decide comfort more than looks
The Luna Bag weighs 450g (0.99 lbs) and its adjustable strap runs 82 cm to 96 cm (32.28" to 37.8"). The Medium Song Bag weighs 500g (1.1 lbs) with a strap range of 76 cm to 88 cm (29.92" to 34.65"). That 50g difference is small, but the longer Luna strap gives more room for shoulder carry over a coat or layered outfit.
If you plan to wear the bag crossbody most days, both straps adjust, but the Medium Song's shorter range sits closer to the body. Neither product page states a maximum laptop or tablet size, so measure your device against the bag's opening before you commit.
Closure and base protection change daily handling
The Medium Song Bag uses a spacious single compartment with a magnetic closure that doubles the security, and it has four metal feet to protect the bottom. The Luna Bag's catalog entry does not list a closure type or base feet, so treat those as unknowns rather than assumed features.
In practice, the magnetic closure on the Medium Song Bag makes it faster to open and close one-handed, while the metal feet help when you set the bag down on rough surfaces. If you often put your bag on the floor or a café chair, that base protection is a real advantage.
Color choice and price context
The Luna Bag is offered in Chocolate, Oolong, Lucky Red, Burgundy, Emerald, and Cobble, giving you six color options. The Medium Song Bag lists Color as an available option but the catalog does not name the specific shades, so check the current product page for the exact palette.
At catalog prices, the Luna Bag is USD 291.75 (compared with USD 389.00) and the Medium Song Bag is USD 270.27 (compared with USD 429.00). Prices can change, so confirm the current price before ordering.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Lighter weight vs. roomier compartment: The Luna Bag saves 50g, but the Medium Song Bag's single compartment is described as spacious. If you carry a water bottle, pouch, and umbrella daily, the Medium Song Bag's capacity is the safer bet. Weigh your typical daily load before deciding.
- Longer strap range vs. closer body fit: The Luna Bag's 82–96 cm strap suits shoulder carry over thicker clothing. The Medium Song Bag's 76–88 cm range keeps the bag closer to the torso for crossbody wear. Try your usual coat on with the strap range in mind.
- Known closure vs. unlisted details: The Medium Song Bag specifies a magnetic closure and metal feet. The Luna Bag's catalog entry does not list closure type or base protection, so ask the store if those details matter to you. Treat unlisted features as unknowns, not assumptions.
Product facts at a glance
